The All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society (AISSMS) was established in 1917 by Late H H Shrimant Shri Shahu Chhatrapati Maharaj of Kolhapur to promote the noble cause of education. The AISSMS COE, Pune is a co-education Institute established in 1992. The College of Engineering is affiliated to the University of Pune. It conducts AICTE approved courses leading to the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in eight engineering streams and Master of Engineering (ME) in Seven engineering streams.

The Library is well equipped and managed by equipped and managed by experienced staff. It houses 35928 print  books 15000 Ebooks and 91 periodicals, national and international. In addition to that, the library subscribed 275 international e-journals of Science Direct and 312 international e-journals of AICTE consortium with different publications like ASCE, ASME, McGraw- Hill, and Springer with full downloading facility. Various Technical and non-technical CDs and VCDs are also available. It has a computerized data access system. The Library spread over 680 Sq m area, which an overall investment of about Rs. 1.60 crore. The Library also has membership of the other libraries of the reputed organizations like IIT Bombay, ARAI etc for the benefit of the staff and students. The open access system, additional book facility to examination toppers, earn and learn scheme, book bank, etc. Are some of the systems adopted to enhance the utilization of the library.
